Carcass - Discografia

O Carcass é uma banda única e importante para os estilos Grindcore/Goregrind e Melodic Death Metal. Uma banda que abriu horizontes pra bandas atuais dos gêneros. Uma banda considerada pioneira nesses estilos. Uma banda comum entre amantes de Metal Extremo. Um exemplo marcante entre bandas que receberam influência pesada do Carcass é o Arch Enemy. Primeiramente, por ter sido fundado por um integrante do Carcass, o guitarrista sueco Michael Amott, e, segundamente, porque o gutural da vocalista Angela Gossow é parecido demais com o de Jeff Walker do Carcass.
Particularmente, o estilo Grindcore/Goregrind não me agrada nem um pouco. Acho sujo demais, e nem forçando consigo gostar. Mas o Carcass em sua fase Death Metal é simplesmente brilhante, magnífico!
Os caras tiveram seu início em Liverpool, na Inglaterra, no ano de 1985, fazendo o estilo Grindcore/Goregrind, sob o nome Disattack, contando com Sanjiv nos vocais, Bill Steer na guitarra, Jeff Walker (não, não sou eu. xD) no baixo e Ken Owen nas baquetas. Após uma ano da formação da banda, o vocalista Sanjiv a deixou, sendo seu único registro a demo "Flesh Ripping Sonic Torment", que foi lançada em 1987, que foi o ano que a banda atualizou seu nome para Carcass.
